Poste :

Job Purpose:

The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing the supply chain and logistical support required to ensure smooth and efficient aviation operations. This includes managing aviation parts and equipment, inventory control, transport coordination, and maintaining compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards. This includes the management and control inventory and daily activities including receipt, storage, and release of all the tools, equipment, and spare parts used for maintenance of aircraft. Ensures all activities are carried out and recorded in accordance with Company’s policies and procedures and as per regulatory bodies’ rules and regulations.

Key Result Responsibilities:

Logistics Coordination:

Manage the storage and distribution of aviation parts and supplies.
Coordinate timely delivery of materials to maintenance teams.
Track the movement of high-value and time-critical parts.
Provide ad-hoc inventory and stores support in line with approved procedures.
Coordinate logistics arrangements for parts delivery, including engines, APUs, and dangerous goods.
Inventory Management:

Ensure parts and components are available on time to support planned and unplanned maintenance tasks and aircraft release.
Ensure unused issued parts are credited back to stock and returned to the main stores in line with company procedures.
Procurement & Vendor Management:

Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and support contract negotiations as required.

Documentation & Compliance:

Ensure logistics activities comply with aviation safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate documentation for traceability of aircraft parts and tools.
Coordinate customs clearance and shipping documentation for international shipments.
Transport & Freight Coordination:

Arrange inbound and outbound shipments of aviation goods and materials.
Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and transport companies.
Track shipments and resolve delays or discrepancies.
Coordinate with customs and clearing agents to ensure timely delivery.
Support Operations:

Work closely with Maintenance and Engineering teams to meet operational requirements.
Provide rapid logistical support during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.
Support logistics planning for special operations or missions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
The role is not exhaustive, and additional duties related to the job function may be assigned from time to time.

Profil recherché :

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field.
• 4+ years of experience, including 2 years in aviation.
• Fluent in the local language; English is an advantage.
• IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations training is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good knowledge of customs clearance.
• Ability to manage resources efficiently and deliver against KPIs.

Work experience

• Working experience on inventory software shall be treated as an advantage.
• Has necessary working experience and exposure to CAA rules and regulations pertaining to acceptance, storage and issuance of technical spare parts and associated equipment used for aircrafts maintenance.
