Description of the position
This technician position is at MSN department-UM6P. He/her mission is to supervise and guarantee the quality of polymeric materials production. He/she will be responsible for operating and maintaining the polymer processing equipment of the MSN laboratory (extrusion equipment, injection molding machine and others). Candidates should hold Bac+3 or BAC+5 diploma in physico-chemistry of materials, materials science, industrial engineering or equivalent with a deep knowledge in polymer and composite processing. The successful candidate must have the ability to engage professionally with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students. The evidence of research excellence is expected.
Key duties
Successful candidate is expected to:
- Operate and maintain the extrusion equipment and injection molding machine.
- Prepare the necessary materials using the equipment and characterize the samples using the required characterization techniques.
- Carry out regular quality checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure they comply with company standards and customer expectations.
- Ensure the proper functioning and calibration of the different polymeric materials’ processing equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Participate in the creation of the laboratory protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a positive attitude in the workplace.
- The preparation of documentation relating to all its activities.
Profil recherché :
Criteria of the candidate:
- Bac+3 or Bac+5 diploma in physico-chemistry of materials, materials science, industrial engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably the different polymer processing equipment and characterization techniques
- Strong background in polymer composites processing and characterization techniques.
- Familiar with quality control tools and production optimization techniques.
