UM6P – Research Assistant in Agronomy and Soil Science
Position Announcement - Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P),
AgroBioSciences (AgBS)
Main responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting field and laboratory experiments related to soil science and agronomy.
- Collect soil and plant samples from various research sites.
- Conduct soil analyses, including physical, chemical, and biological testing.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental data and ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of research reports, presentations, and publications.
- Collaborate with team members and external partners to achieve research objectives.
- Perform literature reviews to support ongoing and future research projects.
Profil recherché :
Education, qualifications, and experience
- Master’s degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a related field (PhD degree preferred).
- Previous research experience in agronomy, soil science, or related areas is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and familiarity with fieldwork.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data collection and analysis.
- Knowledge of statistical software and data management tools (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS) is required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
