We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Research Assistant to play a pivotal role in our cutting-edge research focused on the development, prototyping, and optimization of Capacitive Deionization (CDI) systems for efficient water desalination. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as a keen interest in process optimization within the realm of water treatment technologies and desalination.
Collaborate with senior researchers and engineers to design, fabricate, and test novel Capacitive Deionization prototypes.
Develop and implement electrical and mechanical components of CDI systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
Participate in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of experimental setups, including electrodes, control systems, and fluid management systems.
Perform rigorous testing and data collection during CDI experiments, meticulously recording parameters and outcomes.
Analyze experimental data using specialized software tools, contributing to the interpretation of results and the identification of optimization opportunities.
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to troubleshoot technical challenges and enhance the performance of CDI systems.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in CDI technology, process optimization, and relevant scientific literature.
Assist in preparing technical reports, research papers, and presentations for internal discussions and external conferences.
Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, adhering to best practices in electrical and mechanical safety protocols.

Profil recherché :
Engineer or master’s degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing electrical and mechanical systems, preferably within the domain of water treatment or energy storage.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for designing components and assemblies.
Strong understanding of electrical circuits, sensors, and control systems.
Familiarity with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) for system integration.
Aptitude for hands-on work, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Python, ASPEN or specialized software for electrochemical analysis.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Enthusiasm for learning and staying updated on advancements in CDI technology and related fields.
