Poste :

A senior-level Database Administrator responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical database systems. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle database technologies (9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, and 19c) with both RAC and single-instance configurations, as well as experience supporting SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure and AWS, and will have a proven track record of optimizing database performance, ensuring high availability, and maintaining data security.

Profil recherché :

A senior-level Database Administrator responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical database systems. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle database technologies (9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, and 19c) with both RAC and single-instance configurations, as well as experience supporting SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure and AWS, and will have a proven track record of optimizing database performance, ensuring high availability, and maintaining data security.

Education:

• A Bachelors degree: Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or equivalent, demonstrated and proven work experience.
• A Masters degree is a bonus.

Required Skills:

1. Database administration: 8+yrs of expertise

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases:
  • nice to have: 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c
  • must have: 19c
• With both RAC and single-instance environments.
• Administer SQL Server version 2022 and PostgreSQL databases.
• Implement and maintaining database security measures.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.

2. Performance Tuning and Optimization: 5+ yrs of expertise

• Monitor database performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement performance tuning strategies to optimize database performance and resource utilization.
• Conduct proactive performance analysis and capacity planning.

3. Cloud Infrastructure and Deployment: 5+ yrs of expertise

• Design, implement, and manage database deployments on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Utilize cloud-native services for database management and automation.
• Ensure security and compliance in cloud environments.

4.Automation and Scripting: 5+ yrs of expertise

• Develop and maintain scripts for database automation and monitoring.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices for database deployments.

5. Communication: 5+ yrs of expertise

• Excellent English verbal and written skills.
• Ability to create documentation and processes.

Other skills:

• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
