Poste :
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing metallurgical processes (e.g., primary and secondary metallurgy, rolling, galvanization, etc.) to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and environmental sustainability
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment to enhance metallurgical processing capabilities at lab and pilot scales
- Collaborate with industrial partners to integrate R&D findings into scalable manufacturing processes
- Develop processes at the laboratory scale and prototype new steels and alloys, including Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) and hot and cold rolling processes
- Manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with colleagues in related fields such as chemistry, physics, and mechanical engineering
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
Profil recherché :
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Physics
- Strong background in metallurgical processes and their optimization
- Extensive experience with materials characterization techniques and quality control, including both destructive and non-destructive methods
- More than 3 years of experience in the metallurgical industry, particularly within an R&D team focused on steelmaking processes
- Proven experience leading R&D projects, including planning, execution, and dissemination of results
- Experience in co-supervision and coordination of master’s and PhD students will be highly appreciated
