Poste :

As a Traction RAMS Engineer, your main role will be to:

• Manage the RAMS activities and related deliverables in accordance with Quality-Cost-Delay commitments on the project(s)/program(s) he/she is appointed to.
• Support the Client products performance by defining
• Safety requirements allowing to reach an acceptable level of risks as per the Alstom Safety policy.
• Reliability requirements allowing to enhance their capability to meet the expected reliability targets
• Coordinate the different RAMS contributors working on the Program/Project for the relevant scope (Traction).
• Apply the applicable Alstom/Engineering RAMS processes & instructions. 

Profil recherché :

• Electrical and/or Electro-mechanical Engineering experience for more than 5 years in railway traction/power electronics projects and/or programs.
• Proficiency in reading and analyze power electrical diagrams & scheme - ability to perform critical re-reading and diagram & electrical scheme optimization (redundancy, voters, etc.).
• Railway Safety analysis and demonstration methods and tools with minimum 5 years of experience.
• Able to perform Dysfunctional analysis and degraded mode Analysis with Hardware or Software contributors.
• Mastery of the latest versions of safety standards CENELEC 50126-50128-50657-50129.
• Mastery of the V-cycle of software and/or hardware development in the context of control electronics.
• Involvement & Validation of SAFETY Safety Integrity Level 2 or SIL4 functions, covered either by hardware or by software for the dedicated sub-systems.
• Mastery of classic safety methodologies such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMECA), Safety Related Item list (SRIL), Fault Tree analysis (FTA).
• Experience in project management related to safety studies & up to a product certification with an Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) in interface
• Able to perform Reliability calculation prediction using dedicated mission profile & units – only represents a marginal amount of work.
• Proficiency in understanding feared events and handling the concepts of MTBF, MTBSF, FPMK (millions of Km), FPMH (millions of hours) to be managed at train level or at subsystem level. FMECA & Fault Tree tools well known and used.
• Management and closure of exported constraints, safety requirements towards other businesses and towards internal / external Customers.
• Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer).
• Time management and reporting skills.
• Sense of urgency / priority.
• Ability to allocate/drive activities performed by others (Safety Assurance Engineers)
• Team player & Proactive behaviour (sense of anticipation and urgency)
• Customer & Product Focus.
• Structured and organised with Hands-on approach.
• Language skills: French and/or English will be your day-to-day languages: able to write English RAM and Safety documentation / Call or face to face meeting to be done in English.
• Knowledge of RAM Commander tools (for reliability calculations) and ARALIA tool (for fault trees)
• Advanced University or Engineering degree (System, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical engineering knowledge)
