About MSN department :
The Materials Science, Energy, and nano-engineering (MSN) is a department at Mohammed VI University that aims to makes use of innovative research and education in order to promote solution development and entrepreneurship (in the context of Moroccan and African challenges), while training the next generation top scientists, innovators and entrepreneurs.
Research at MSN is organized in 4 research tribes: Energy storage, Surface technology, Polymers and composites, and sustainable materials. With some 50 researchers and PhD students and several national and international partners, MSN is emerging as a strong actor in the Moroccan materials research scene. The department coordinates Master of science program in Materials science and engineering as well as several executive master programs.
Description of Position :
COVID-19 has showed the importance of digitalization as one way to increase resilience. Digital transformation is at the forefront of MSN/UM6P mind through replacing non-digital or manual processes with digital processes.
The Digital collaborator will collaborate with all tribes and management at MSN to further develop and support the department in the following points:
- Agility organization
- Continuous improvement
- Collective intelligence
- Process approach
- Digitalization
Responsibilities :
The Digital coordinator responsibilities are:
- Ensure the implementation of the department's vision and strategy in terms of digitization;
- Ensure the coordination between the MSN department and the IT, Communication and general affairs interfaces for the development of digital solutions and event organization;
- Ensure the implementation of adequate digital solutions for the core processes of R&D, Education and entrepreneurship.
- Write tenders for digital solutions and information systems;
- Support and coordinate the “flipped classroom” learning system;
- Support and coordinate the MSN Digital Platform system;
- Write, Edit and update the content of departmental websites and scientific events;
- Develop, implement and manage social media platforms;
- Design and manage the marketing communication tools related to scientific and academic events that are organized by the department
- Stay up to date with the latest social media technology and best practices
- Collaborate with members of the audiovisual department on various institutional initiatives to support the university's educational/scientific strategies and plans;
- Actively maintain current knowledge and keep staff up to date with new ideas in digital education and engagement
- Periodic reports on the digital activities and their development to the tribe committees and MSN Management Committee.
Profile & qualifications :
- Minimum of Bac + 3 / Bac + 4 in IT or equivalent with proven experience;
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience and knowledge of digital development, web design, scientific events will be an asset with experience in a similar sector (University, Research establishment, Higher education establishment, .).
- Excellent communication both in French and English (written, verbal and presentation)
