Mechanical Design Engineer - Benguerir

PRODUCT DESIGN FOR INDUSTRY

• Responsible for design & development of new catalogs, products of family products such as pumps, valves, specific pump ranges or other products of OCP Technology’s catalog
• Create or modify Bill of Materials and assembly drawings associated with the product, equipment, or components
• Be able to answer and understand customer needs or market demand in design specifications reliable for products
• Be able to design new products to permanently satisfy OCP Technology requirements such as performance, cost, quality in a timely manner and to satisfy technical and eco-design requirements
• Design components of products & products to maintain the lowest cost with the best features at any step of manufacturing: cast, molding, stamping, machining
• Ensure to maintain innovative features and solutions to deliver new designs
• Design calculations, analysis and interpretations using established tools including Finite Element Analysis
• Prepare, interpret, analyze drawings, specifications, procedures, or related materials
• Maintain a continuous research improvement of the product thanks to research investigations, be able to propose and perform advanced analysis, or auditing, identify and propose appropriate conclusions and recommendations
• Ensure and verify components and products integrity

TRANSVERSAL PRODUCT DESIGN SUPPORT FOR INDUSTRY

• Be able to provide in collective intelligence continuous improvements on design methodology, production, or maintenance of the product
• Leading product development in accordance with OCP Technology’s strategy, annual objectives with project management methods and tools available
• Develop and maintain a safe & well-organized workplace, well-organized research design follow-up
• Be able to share and exchange with other design engineers to validate technical features, share knowledge and mutual improvement
• Lead continuous improvements of design, production, or maintenance processes
• Using creativity and innovation to propose and find appropriate solutions to engineering issues
• Preparation, participation for technical reviews, engineering reviews, decision gates and reportings
• Supervise the manufacturing process including Casting, Machining, Assembly and Storage 
• Be able to provide in collective intelligence continuous improvements on design methodology, production, or maintenance of the product
• Be able to share and exchange with other design 
• Evaluate existing well design standards critically and proactively to further maintain a cost-effective design, while maximizing efficiency and compliance with customers explicit and implicit needs
• Using creativity and innovation to propose and find appropriate solutions to engineering issues
• Participate in orders and design review meetings
• Follow-up of production until delivery to customer (design, manufacturing, assembly, maintenance)
• Be able to prepare detailed technical support (presentations, analysis, mementos, technical specifications for any purchasing technical requests etc…) 
• Collaborate and leverage other design and field engineering resources within OCP Technology (e.g., Product managers, Operations team, other Business Units and/or other functions) on key technical initiatives/studies (e.g., Reliability based maintenance, new pumps/ Valves / Agitators’ designs, Machinery as a Service offerings, and/or identifying potential test future technology & application).
• Create OEM and maintenance documentation and act as primary point of contact for maintenance and production teams to ensure tooling and equipment downtime is minimized in addition to efficient and safe operations
• Lead research and development projects related to the company’s products 
• Initiate and complete MOCs for design changes
• Work closely with other departments within the organization to collaborate on any aspects on engineered or design orders
• Define specifications and requirements for outsourced tooling and equipment, including standardized RFQ (request for quote) documents to be sent to suppliers

Education and Experience requirements:

• BS or higher degree in engineering (Preferred Mechanical) or equivalent relevant experience
• Three years of experience working with product or system design in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Requirements :

• Centrifugal pumps, Industrial valves, Mixers, and other hydraulic and mechanical machinery design knowledge
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to safety best-practices
• Project management. Demonstrated ability to take projects to market preferred.
• Knowledge in manufacturing processes and variation
• Knowledge in Six Sigma Design practices
• Knowledge in tolerance analysis
• Knowledge in 3D Modeling and Simulation Modeling (Required: SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, ANSYS, CATIA)
• Knowledge of other industrial technologies such as foundry, chemical, power generation, agriculture, or electrical areas.
• Knowledge of industrial and technical equipment and power tools.
• Ability to read, interpret, troubleshoot, and create complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, and subsystem schematics
• Development of data acquisition systems and experience in using analysis tools
