Poste :
UM6P is seeking a creative individual for an Instructional Designer position who is looking to work with subject matter experts to design or adapt coursework on our online platforms. Keep our Lab using the latest instructional technologies to remain at the forefront of online and blended education. With your excellent problem solving and analytical skills, you may work closely with the IT department to keep our systems up and running smoothly to minimize any downtime that could negatively affect our clients and learners.
This position is designed primarily to support the Digital Learning Lab in working with UM6P faculty and Program Managers and international partner institutions. You will be involved in the creation and delivery of capacity development activities, development of new projects and proposals, organizing meetings and training activities for collaborators.
In This Role You Will…
- Design a variety of instructional materials for academic and professional training, online programs, blended products, and other programs as needed.
- Work with all stakeholders to identify training and course needs. Conduct research and analysis on learners and contexts. Organizing course production activities (Meetings, workshops).
- Create realistic objectives for learning or performance for students and instructors.
- Assist in developing materials for courses based on information provided by subject matter experts and instructors to create the best coursework possible. Recommend changes to existing courses, including technology or instructional methods, to better adhere to delivery options for the course.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of developed instructional solutions, courseware and instructional delivery for learner retention and application by monitoring on going courses and analyzing student feedback.
- Provide training and tutoring to different stakeholders and develop and maintain documentation about processes and project you are assigned.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
We are looking for motivated people with…
- Academic and/or executive background in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Communications, Trainings or similar.
- Excellent oral and written English skills
- Proficient in building courses in a Learning Management Systems (OpenEdx)
- Strong attention to detail, customer service, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Preferably with experience in instructional design and adult learning methodologies.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills
- High level of commitment and autonomy
- Ability to work within a large and diverse team
